As I put together this site and move forward with the project, I’ve put a lot of thought in what I want to offer here. Talking to someone more learned than I am in this area, I realized that it’s very important for me to not offer false hope or promises. The Internet is not a magic place that will guarantee you a job or income. It can help with a job search, can help you learn about how to approach the job seeking process better, but it is NOT a guarantee.
Over the next few months – and years hopefully – I’m going to be adding content to this website. While I’m going to strive to make it as accurate as possible, I need to make sure I also don’t offer false hope or promises. Finding a job can be tough, and it’s even more tough with a felony conviction on your record.
Now, before you get too discouraged, know that there are things you can do to improve your chances of getting a great job. For one, education or job training is very important. Depending on where you live, many organizations offer this type of help. If you’re reading this and want to learn more about the help available in your city and state, leave a comment below with the appropriate information and we’ll see what we can do to assist you.
While the Internet isn’t a magic place that will guarantee you success, it is a tool that can be used to search for jobs and gather information. When used correctly, it can be a very powerful tool that can help you land not only a job, but a good job. Anyway, as I prepare some more material for the site, I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you – the readers – and ask you to chime in and let me know what you need help with specifically. Once a conversation starts, there’s no telling where things can lead.
